John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched many people with his songs. Most of his songs are based on Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico he fell in love with Colorado and eventually moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems inspired people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares that John Denver is unlike any other artist who embodies Colorado. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first to be inducted into the hall. Today, he is the face of Colorado on the world stage. On my journeys around the world, I've met a lot of people who are not from Colorado. They will say, "Oh John Denver!" when they hear that you're from Colorado. Brown explained. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 singles after performing with small folk music bands. It was co-written by and recorded by Bill Danoff. Danoff had originally written the tune with Johnny Cash's music with a focus on Johnny Cash, however Denver realized from the first time he heard the first versions of the song that it would be a big popular. The song was performed in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver released the song a couple of days later.
