Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21, 1983. She is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. After her parents divorced, she relocated with her mother in Los Angeles. While struggling financially she landed her first part as Rachel's Room's main character the web-based video show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The role she played of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. movie Murder In Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. She played the lead role for two seasons, and also won an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Leaving the series Grace would like to be on film more frequently, having been cast as the opposite of Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. The actress was as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. She reprised the role in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the main character Alice In Malice in Wonderland a modern take on Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost, including the finale. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in Californianation, the 6th Season. The actress plays Faith an actress in a group and as an muse for the stars who captures the interest of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. Being part of the Gyllenhaal Family, she's the daughter and older sister of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The first time she appeared in films of her father as an adolescent. Along with her brother, she appeared on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003).
