Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. Ana began to learn how to sing and play music from an early age, along with her mother. She was given more formal training in singing at the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choruses. In 2000 she moved into the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. She has been involved with a number of local projects and is a teacher and performer, because of her passion of music and art. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
