Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21, 1983. She is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. After her parents divorced, she relocated with her mother in Los Angeles. While struggling financially she landed her first part as Rachel's Room's main character the web-based video show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The role she played of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. movie Murder In Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. She played the lead role for two seasons, and also won an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Leaving the series Grace would like to be on film more frequently, having been cast as the opposite of Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005.
